WHAT IS KANGEN WATER?

Kangen water is micro-clustered, hydrogen and antioxidant rich, alkalized water. It’s created through Kangen machines, which are medical grade water ionisers made by a Japanese company called Enagic. The Leveluk K8 machine (Enagic’s flagship model) can produce 7 types of ionised water ranging from 2.5-11.5 pH that can be used for a number of different purposes, including drinking water, cleaning, cooking, and beauty care.

Rich in Active Molecular Hydrogen & Antioxidants

The human body naturally produces free radicals, and antioxidants to counteract their damaging effects. However, in most cases, free radicals far outnumber the naturally-occurring antioxidants. Kangen water is rich in active molecular hydrogen, which acts as a powerful antioxidant. Antioxidants counter oxidative stress and benefit the body by neutralising and removing the free radicals from the bloodstream.
Oxidative stress is thought to play a role in several diseases including cancer, cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, and eye diseases, such as cataracts and age-related macular degeneration (NIH), as well as facilitating symptoms of aging such as wrinkles, gray hair, and hair loss. The more free radicals we are able to neutralize, the more toxins we can effectively flush from our system.

Negative Oxidation Reduction Potential (ORP)

The oxidation reduction potential (ORP) is the ability of a molecule to neutralise free radicals, act as an antioxidant (or pro-oxidant) and protect against and even reverse cellular and tissue oxidative damage. A liquid can either be positively charged (oxidizing) or negatively charged (reducing). Consuming liquids with a high ORP, like soft drinks and tap water, reduces to a reductive ORP (in the body) at the expense of energy from our cell membranes. Kangen water consistently tests at an ORP of -800 to -400, which is an extremely powerful and strong antioxidant.

Even though water (H20) has a neutral charge (10 electrons and 10 protons), it is a polar molecule, meaning that it’s slightly more negative near the oxygen side of the molecule and slightly more positive towards the hydrogen side of the molecule. As a result, water molecules will cluster together.

microclusteredIn the electrolysis process, there is a disassociation of the molecules making the molecules repel each other causing them to separate. Thus, micro-clustered water is produced (water containing fewer molecules), which can then hydrate your body more quickly and effectively. Because water molecules are smaller, they are better able to penetrate cell walls and and “wash away” acidic buildup in your body caused by years of metabolising food (essentially, carrying oxygen in and waste out.) This is extremely beneficial for supplement absorption, such as vitamins, minerals, herbal supplements, and UKON, and can also increase energy levels and improve your overall aerobic capacity. Micro-clustered water also enhances energy levels and improves your overall aerobic capacity as well as prevents premature aging.
